Kangaroo Island Whisky Launch

For the very first time, Kangaroo Island Spirits will unveil their inaugural whisky range — with Ralph Louis Frederick selected to host the launch.

Originally intended as a trade-only event, a limited number of places have been released to our patrons for this intimate evening of first pours, roaming drams, and conversation with Head Distiller Charlie Schmidt.

Enjoy a KIS G&T on arrival, guided tastings of all three new whisky releases, and a stirred whisky cocktail to finish.

Small by design. Special by nature.

Archie Rose x Soda Rooftop

Thur 14 May, 6:30pm, 240pp

Ralph Louis Frederick presents its next whisky dinner — an exploration at the very edge of Australian whisky.

Archie Rose Distilling Co. has now laid down close to 50,000 casks. From that, only a handful have been selected for single cask release.

For this dinner, we’ve secured:

• A single cask from each of the first three releases (long since sold out)

• Plus a pre-release pour from Batch #4

Whiskies that, in most cases, you simply cannot buy anymore.

The evening evolves with a refined menu from Executive Chef Brent Potuszynski of SODA Rooftop.

Flame & Fellowship #3 – Honduras

Ever wanted to sit back, enjoy a beautifully made cigar, and truly understand what you’re smoking — all in the company of the cigar-curious and the quietly devoted? The Flame & Fellowship offers an unhurried monthly evening of shared knowledge, good conversation, and thoughtful indulgence.

This month : Honuras | Alec Bradley Prensado Gran Toro

A celebrated Honduran cigar that helped redefine the global perception of the country’s tobacco — bold, structured and beautifully composed.

Springbank x OMADA

Thursday 16 April 2026, 6:30pm, 275pp

This whisky dinner, hosted by Graham Wright and Marcus Motteram, showcases why Springbank is a whisky drinkers quietly hunt for. From its home in Campbeltown, Springbank is revered as the single malt of single malts — a fiercely traditional distillery producing whisky in deliberately limited quantities, often sold out worldwide.

– Sprinkbank 15 Year Old
– Sprinkbank Longrow 100 Proof Pinot Noir Cask
– Sprinkbank Hazelburn Olorosso Cask Matured

Whiskies will be paired with vibrant Greek-inspired share plates from Executive Chef Andy Ferrara of OMADA Bar & Grill, Leigh Street’s newest dining hotspot.

Hibiki x Yakisan

Thursday 26 February 2026, 6:30pm, 265pp

Ralph Louis Frederick invites you to an intimate evening where Japanese whisky meets refined Japanese dining — a considered collaboration between Hibiki and Yakisan.

Each whisky will be paired with a bespoke small plate designed by Executive chef Adam Liston of Yakisan — thoughtfully created to mirror Hibiki’s harmony, restraint, and precision.

Whiskies on the table include:
– Hibiki 12 Year Old
– Hibiki 17 Year Old
– Hibiki Harmony

The evening will conclude with a beautifully composed Harmony Old Fashioned — a quiet nod to tradition, finished the Japanese way.

The Gilded Soirée

The Glendronach ‘Very Sherry’ Dinner

Join us for an evening of whisky and tapas delights, as Linus Schaxmann unveils the new remarkable Glendronach Master’s Anthology collection, which captures the breadth and depth of sherry cask maturation.

Ode to the Valley – a fruit-forward tribute to the lush Valley of Forgue – Ode to the Embers – a rare, smoky echo of Glendronach’s peated past – Ode to the Dark – the decadent crescendo, matured solely in Pedro Ximénez casks.

We were join ed by Richard Angove, custodian of the St Agnes legacy, for an intimate exploration of brandy at its pinnacle. This distinguished tasting experience included the entire XO range—a collection of unparalleled age and elegance in the southern hemisphere.

Australian Whisky x Fugazzi

A Tale of Two Distilleries with Archie Rose

Nikka Whisky x Kiin Restaurant

This exclusive event will be hosted by Nikka’s Australian brand ambassador, Marcus Parmenter alongside our very own Marcus Motteram, owner of Ralph Louis Frederick.

The Balvenie Bounty

We tantalized our taste buds with the crème de la crème of The Balvenie whisky, all under the spellbinding guidance of the ever-charismatic Ross Blainey.

Not only did the whisky enchant us, but we discovered why he is regarded as one of the most captivating and knowledgeable presenters in the whisky industry.

This was Ross’s last time presenting Balvenie, and he dug deep into the archives of some very special liquid.
