Ralph Louis Frederick is a bespoke space for fine whisky and refined conversation. For gentlemen and gentlewomen who respect the finer things in life and each other.
For those that mourn the loss of higher fashion and delight in opera, classical and jazz. We applaud those that dress up a little to go out and offer a covered balcony area for those that find joy in hand rolled cigars.
Ralph Louis Frederick is only accessible to Established Patrons. Once accepted, you have exclusive access to our fine whisky bar which comes with certain privileges and etiquette to match.
We are open Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm till late.
The Collection

Whiskies from ghosted distilleries, whiskies no longer in production, independent bottlers, old and rare bottlings, we’ve got it covered.
Whisky aficionados will relish the chance to sample rare bottlings from the likes of Karuizawa, Brora, Hanyu, Port Ellen and Pappy Van Winkle.
And if whisky is not your tipple, enjoy our stirred cocktails, fine wine and premium champagne.
The Setting
like the best whiskies in the world, Ralph Louis is a journey of discovery.
Tucked away in the laneway of Gilbert Place, surrounded by heritage buildings like Edmund Wright House, take a winding staircase above Hains & Co, where you will find yourself in an intimate, dimly lit space inspired by the era of Art Deco and Art Nouveau.
Take the door to a private balcony, the perfect setting for a whisky and cigar, or settle yourself into the banquet seating and soak in the surrounds of beautiful whisky.
For whisky lovers, it feels like coming home.
A Locker to Call Home at Ralph Louis Frederick
DRINKING WHISKY IS FUN TO DO ALMOST EVERYWHERE, BUT IT IS ESPECIALLY LOVELY IF YOU HAVE YOUR VERY OWN BOTTLE WAITING FOR YOU AT RALPH LOUIS FREDERICK.
A good bottle of whisky bears returning, and it’s even better when it’s your very own. To keep.
Fifteen lockers will be available for patrons to put your name to at Ralph Louis Frederick. This will become your exclusive space to hold your favourite dram and finest Cuban sticks. Purchase your bottle at the bar, keep it safe for good. The lockers will be available for an initial period of three years.
Private Lockers will go to auction after opening, with 50% of proceeds going to charity.
